Mimi loves saying she is Italian by Marriage and you all know she makes amazing, authentic Italian food.
My Mom was a first generation Italian immigrant. Her parents barely spoke English. But immigrants in the 1930s tried to blend in with the Americans, so I never heard anything about the traditional Italian Christmas celebration.
This Christmas, Mimi and I decided it would be fun to reinvent our annual party with an Italian twist, so please join us Saturday, January 6th for our American take on The Feast of the Epiphany.
The 12th Day of Christmas, the Epiphany, is when the three kings showed up with gifts for baby Jesus. Today, it is still when the kids in Italy receive their gifts (from a weird traditional witch character).
We'll skip the gifts, but we'll have plenty of Italian food and drinks, so please RSVP below. See you then!
6 PM until we run out of cannolis.
1. Adults only please.
2. This is a very limited invite compared to the old house party, so please do not repost or distribute. Thank you.
